Job summary

Covenant Health's Claiborne Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist for the General Laboratory. The MT will perform high complexity lab tests to aid diagnosis and treatment, with independent judgment and physician consultation as needed.

The role requires Tennessee licensure as a Medical Technologist; ASCP/NCA certification preferred. Night shift, full-time schedule, with generous sign-on bonuses for experienced staff and new grads.

Qualifications

• License: Tennessee State License as Medical Technologist required or achieved.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity tests as appropriate for testing department and shift.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records.
• Document corrective actions and ensure report accuracy before dissemination.
• Perform proficiency testing samples and maintain proper records.
• Maintain quality control and calibrations; report out-of-control situations.
