Job summary

Requires a BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology, and MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP certification or eligibility to sit the exam within the first year.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology.
• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP certification or eligible to take exam within first year.

Responsibilities

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by chemical analyses.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopy.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment and analyzers; performs preventive maintenance.
