Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist for the Automated Lab to oversee evening operations and ensure accurate, timely test results. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, at least five years of generalist lab experience across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis, and MT-ASCP certification.

Strong teaching and inspection-readiness skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required.
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience.
• Generalist across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and Urinalysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures on neonatal to geriatric patients; maintains/calibrates equipment.
• Provides teaching and education to lab students and staff.
• Maintains inspection readiness at all times.
