Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho seeks a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist for night shift, full-time employment in the clinical laboratory. The role emphasizes test procedures, QC, specimen verification, and timely reporting per regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• ASCP MT/MLS/CLS certification or registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs, records and reviews QC data; takes corrective action when data is out of limits.
• Verifies specimen labeling, integrity and suitability before testing.
• Performs low, medium and high complexity testing according to protocols and regulations; reports results and critical results.
• Performs phlebotomy when needed and ensures supplies are available.
