Job summary

Wellstar AU Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the night shift (11:30pm–8:00am) with rotating weekends.

Under supervision, you will perform clinical laboratory testing per approved protocols, maintain equipment, and participate in quality assurance activities while ensuring accurate reporting and documentation. The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field (preferred) and a minimum of 1 year lab experience, with appropriate ASCP/AMT/MLS

Qualifications

• Bachelors Medical Technology or Bachelors Medical Science or Bachelors General or Masters in related field preferred.
• MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), MLS(ASCP) or other approved certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accuracy in patient, QA, proficiency and competency testing.
• Maintains instrumentation and testing supplies.
• Reports lab data accurately within turnaround times.
• Documents QA investigations and trends.
• Ensures compliance with LIS documentation and lab policies.
• Participates in safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
