Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Clinical Laboratory professional for night shift to perform testing per established protocols. You will maintain equipment, ensure QA, and supervise where appropriate, while applying critical thinking and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Required education includes a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field with 1 year lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Medical Science, General studies, or a relevant master’s degree (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience (preferred).
• Licenses/certifications listed: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), MT(HEW), MLS(ASCP), MLS(AMT), MB(ASCP), H(ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy in patient testing, QA, proficiency and competency testing.
• Earn acceptable scores in proficiency and competency testing.
• Maintain instrumentation for testing.
• Report lab data accurately within turnaround times and productivity standards.
• Recognize relationships between lab data and clinical findings.
• Follow department procedures and chain of command for information handoff.
• Comply with WellStar policies and safety standards.
• Participate in meetings, projects, and annual education requirements.
