Job summary

Wellstar Spalding is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the night shift. The role involves performing tests with limited scope under supervision, maintaining QA standards, and reporting results accurately while integrating clinical data to support patient care.

Required education is an Associate's degree in Medical Technology with applicable certifications upon hire and at least one year of laboratory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Technology is required.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency and competency testing.
• Meets department standards for patient or specimen identification and test reporting.
• Documents QA investigations, trends and proficiency results.
• Maintains instrumentation and reports lab data accurately and promptly.
• Applies clinical knowledge to analyze and interpret lab data.
• Adheres to LIS procedures and department policy while ensuring safety.
