Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the night shift at our Boise, Idaho campus. The role performs diagnostic testing across clinical laboratory disciplines, with emphasis on quality control, specimen integrity, and regulatory compliance.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, with ASCP certification or registry eligibility to be obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASCP certification or registry eligibility and obtained within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs, records and reviews scheduled QC; takes corrective action when out of limits.
• Verifies specimen labeling, integrity and suitability before testing.
• Performs low, medium and high complexity testing according to protocols and regulatory requirements; reports results and critical results.
• Performs phlebotomy when needed and monitors supply inventory to ensure availability.
