Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing in the Clinical Laboratory during the night shift. You will ensure quality control, verify specimen integrity, and report results with professional judgment in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science required.
• ASCP MT/MLS/CLS or equivalent certification required or eligible within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform, record and review scheduled QC.
• Take corrective action when QC data is outside limits.
• Verify specimen labeling, integrity and suitability before testing.
• Perform low, medium and high complexity testing per protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Report test results accurately and promptly.
• Report critical results to physician or nursing staff according to protocol.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed per lab policy.
• Monitor and manage supply inventory to ensure availability.
