Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center: Peach is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT to perform laboratory examinations and ensure rapid, accurate results. The role requires oversight under a Clinical Lab Supervisor and other technologists, with emphasis on testing quality and instrument reliability.

Responsibilities include calibration, QC, proficiency testing, specimen handling, and assisting with teaching and supply management. Evening/night shifts and sign-on bonus eligibility are noted.

Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma required.
• Associate degree in Applied Sciences required.
• MLT (ASCP) registry or equivalent as determined by the Professional Director.
• Registration must be obtained within 5 months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report various laboratory tests in the assigned section per procedures.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; perform minor maintenance.
• Identify instrument malfunctions and seek assistance from supervisors.
• Perform quality control to ensure proper instrument and reagent function.
• Carry out proficiency testing.
• Assist in specimen collection and processing as needed.
• Maintain clerical records and LIS/HIS familiarity.
• Support training of other staff and trainees.
• Assist with supply management for the section.
