Job summary

Advocate Health in Lexington Medical Center Lab is hiring a Medical Lab Technician for a 40-hour, overnight schedule (Tuesday–Friday, 9 PM–7 AM). The role emphasizes accurate test results, quick STAT response, and adherence to QC/QA procedures.

Requirements include MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification, NAACLS program completion preferred, and an Associate degree (preferred). Prior lab experience is preferred; excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
• NAACLS approved Medical Technician program preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote accurate and timely patient laboratory test results.
• Perform procedures per the procedure manual with minimal supervision.
• Follow QC/QA procedures and document results promptly.
• Recognize and escalate system or test issues as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and patient identification protocols.
