Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) II to join its lab team as a Generalist on the night shift (1830-0700) with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

The role requires an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and ASCP/AMT or equivalent certification is preferred or required. You will perform testing across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced hospital setting and contribute to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• MLT (ASCP), AMT, or equivalent certification preferred/required.
• Strong generalist laboratory skills and commitment to quality patient care.
• Ability to perform testing across multiple laboratory disciplines in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Reports and maintains patient test results via laboratory system, meeting turnover targets.
• Documents test management issues and initiates corrective action.
• Performs quality controls and troubleshoots instrumentation as needed.
• Operates instrumentation to deliver precise, timely results and performs specimen collection and processing.
• Trains new personnel in methods and equipment.
