Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND invites qualified Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Laboratory Scientists to join our clinical team. The role covers high-complexity testing per CLIA, patient care across ages, and collaboration with QA/QC and instrumentation teams.

Candidates must hold an MLT or MLS pathway with ASCP certification or equivalent, and obtain ND licensure within the specified timeframe. Night shifts and weekend coverage are part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• Certification as MLT/ASCP or equivalent within one year from hire
• ND license or provisional license within 45 days of hire or transfer
• MLS certification (ASCP) within one year from hire
• ND licensure requirements must be met within 45 days of hire or transfer

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA for patients of all ages.
• Participate in QA/QC monitoring, instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties as needed.
• Interpret results and correlate with disease states and knowledge.
• Contribute to research, development, education, and technical consultation.
