Essentia Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for Essentia Virginia Hospital. You will perform tests across all complexity levels, aid in diagnosis and treatment, and support quality assurance and instrument maintenance.

The role requires an associate degree in MLT or CLIA-equivalent route, ASCP cert within one year, and the ability to rotate Day/Eve/Night shifts. Weekend work is required; benefits and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or CLIA-compliant alternative route.
• CLIA guidelines understanding for complexity of lab testing is required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests across all complexity levels as defined by CLIA.
• Support QA/QC monitoring, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Process specimens, perform phlebotomy, and provide patient and customer service.
