Job summary

Exceptional Community Hospitals in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Night Shift Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the team at our new Community Hospital laboratory. This role focuses on delivering accurate diagnostic tests and maintaining high safety and quality standards in a patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate will have a life sciences degree, a current MLT/MLS license, and experience in a moderate complexity lab, with ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate sciences is required.
• Must have a current MLT/MLS license.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• Experience with a moderate complexity lab in a healthcare setting is needed.
• Ability to present information clearly to patients, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of diagnostic testing of patients.
• Assist in improving the overall status of patients.
• Provide accurate laboratory results for the medical staff.
• Promote safety and quality care for all patients.
• Perform quality control, maintenance, and proficiency testing on all laboratory equipment.
• Document and maintain accurate records for specimens and results.
• Adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
