Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technician for the 10pm to 6:30am night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic duties, adheres to CLIA standards, and supports the laboratory’s quality control and documentation requirements. Must have an Associate’s degree with CAHEA accreditation or related degree and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with CAHEA accreditation or equivalent, Biology or Chemistry degree with training.
• One year of full-time clinical laboratory experience preferred; required for certain degrees.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate/high complexity tests as authorized by Laboratory Medical Director.
• Follow specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record-keeping procedures.
• Maintain quality control, calibrations, and maintenance documentation.
• Identify and report test issues to supervisor orDirector.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from specs.
