Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technician for the 10pm–6:30am shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves performing moderate to high complexity tests under the Laboratory Medical Director with compliant handling of specimens and accurate record-keeping.

The incumbent will execute procedures across Pre-Analytic, Analytic, and Post-Analytic phases, ensuring adherence to CLIA requirements and FH Standards of Behavior.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in medical technology or related science (CAHEA accredited) or equivalent training/education.
• One year of full-time clinical laboratory experience preferred with related degree; required with certain degrees.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate/high complexity tests as authorized by Laboratory Medical Director.
• Follows procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, and reporting of results.
• Maintains records showing proficiency testing samples are tested correctly.
• Adheres to QC policies, calibrations and instrument maintenance.
• Follows policies when test systems are out of range; notifies supervisor or director.
• Documents corrective actions for test deviations.
