Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. seeks a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technician for the night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays in Frederick, MD.

The role supports pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic workflows and requires CAHEA-accredited MT training or equivalent. Responsibilities include performing eligible moderate/high complexity tests, maintaining quality control, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Proficient with general lab equipment and basic data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting results.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and lab instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate/high complexity tests as authorized by the Lab Director.
• Follows specimen handling, test analyses, reporting and records procedures.
• Maintains records showing proficiency testing samples are tested as patient specimens.
• Adheres to QC policies, calibrations and maintenance of instruments.
• Identifies problems that may affect test performance and escalates as needed.
• Documents corrective actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
