Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician/MLS to join our Anson lab team. The role involves performing testing according to QA guidelines, preparing reagents, and maintaining inventory to minimize waste.

You will troubleshoot systems, engage with specialty hotlines when needed, and support accreditation-related documentation. The position requires an associate degree or equivalent, MLT registry eligibility within one year, and compliance with CAP/TJC/OSHA

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education in clinical laboratory science or related field.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent registry eligibility required within 1 year of hire.
• Familiar with CAP, TJC, OSHA accreditation standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and adherence to testing procedures and QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains materials to minimize waste and control inventory.
• Troubleshoots test systems and coordinates with departments to resolve issues.
• Assists with procedure revisions and documentation for accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains clear shift communication and participates in staff meetings and project work.
