Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Euless, TX is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team on the 9:00 PM–6:00 AM shift. This full-time night role requires a MT/MLS with ASCP certification and hospital experience.

You will follow established procedures for specimen handling, maintain quality control, communicate critical results to clinicians, operate and calibrate equipment, and contribute to patient care. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MT program or equivalent Science required.
• 2 Years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred.
• MLS - Medical Lab Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA 6 Months required Or MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months required Or MT - Medical Technologist 6 Months required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.
• Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities and corrective action.
• Adhere to all laboratory policies for established acceptability for proficiency testing, corrective actions and resolution of deficiencies.
• Communicates directly with clinicians regarding critical lab results and patient care.
• Operates, calibrates, and conducts performance checks on laboratory equipment in accordance with lab policies and vendor requirements.
• Demonstrates competency in all areas of the laboratory for which patient test reports are issued.
• Other duties as assigned
