AdventHealth in Lutz, FL is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support high-complexity testing in a fast-paced hospital laboratory. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and compliance with CLIA and other regulatory standards.

You will perform pre- and post-analytical tasks, maintain equipment, train staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, while communicating clearly with the clinical team.

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, inventory control, specimen collection, and cleaning of lab spaces.
• Conducts post-analytical activities such as reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests accurately according to SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to regulations.
• Acts as a preceptor to facilitate orientation and training.
• Guides technicians and support staff and resolves customer service issues.
• Follows safety policies and PPE usage and handles hazardous waste training.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and assists with data collection.
