Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join our night shift team. You will prioritize and perform testing across multiple areas (Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Blood Bank) and maintain accurate records in accordance with CAP, DNV, and CLIA standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology, ASCP/NCA/AMT licensure or eligibility, and 1+ year or more of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field.
• Valid ASCP, NCA, or AMT licensure or eligibility.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings with CAP/DNV/CLIA guidelines familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Completes routine and stat testing according to department policy and established time frame.
• Performs analysis independently according to established criteria.
• Maintains lab records and documentation, entering data into computer system.
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Consults with Section Supervisor or pathologist on questionable results.
• Attends continuing education programs and contributes to quality improvement.
