Labcorp in Seattle, WA is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team. You will determine the acceptability of specimens, perform routine and complex testing according to SOPs, monitor instrumentation, and contribute to accurate reporting of results to support patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological sciences or medical technology and ASCP or AMT certification. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving are essential.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
