Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 11:00pm - 7:30am at Cherry Hill Hospital Stat Lab. Responsibilities include specimen testing, instrument operation, quality control, and timely result reporting.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and ASCP or AMT certification. Competitive pay and benefits available; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology required.
• ASCP or AMT certification required or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
