Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) on the night shift for a hospital laboratory in Anderson, South Carolina. This role performs testing on patient specimens, operates instrumentation, and participates in quality control and reporting in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in MLT or a related program, and MLT(ASCP) certification or eligibility. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this team-oriented

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related qualifying program.
• MLT(ASCP) certification or eligibility for ASCP or HHS certification as specified by the employer.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a laboratory team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing according to established policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Use laboratory information systems to document and report test results.
• Assist with evaluating and implementing new laboratory tests and procedures.
• Help train new employees and students as assigned.
• Participate in cross‑training and complete required continuing education.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate use of laboratory supplies and equipment.
