AdventHealth in Louisville, CO is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform tests and analytical procedures with accuracy and efficiency. This role supports proficiency testing, reporting, and education of clinical staff while upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in lab science, 1+ years of clinical lab experience, and strong communication skills. The position requires night shifts and flexibility to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology (required)
• 1+ years clinical lab experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsabilités

• Conducts all expected tests and analytical procedures accurately according to hospital procedures and performance standards
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to federal and state regulations and hospital policies
• Performs pre- and post-analytical activities including specimen processing, reporting results, and documentation
• Maintains equipment and records, supports education and training of new staff
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information and follows Infection Control policies
• Transports hazardous waste and participates in safety and quality improvement activities
• Answers phones and performs reception and clerical duties to support department operations
• Other duties as assigned
