The role requires proficiency in proficiency testing, equipment evaluation, and adherence to safety policies. Night shifts are available, with a focus on quality and teamwork within the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Conducts tests and analytical procedures per hospital procedures.
• Performs reporting of results and provides technical information.
• Participates in proficiency testing and quality improvement activities.
• Adheres to regulations and protects patient confidentiality.
• Transports hazardous waste and participates in safety training.
• Assists in new employee orientation and training.
• Answers phones and supports department operations.
• Prepares equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory control.
• Supports education for clinical staff as requested.
