Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our rural Diagnostic Services team. The role involves a predictable 36-hour week with three 12-hour night shifts, contributing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, immunohematology, and immunology to support patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree or higher and can work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, immunohematology, and immunology.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Report results promptly to providers and nursing staff.
• Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and processing.
• Perform and document quality control procedures and maintain records.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Maintain supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Follow OSHA, infection prevention, and HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
