Job summary

Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is seeking a dedicated medical laboratory professional to join our Diagnostic Services team on a 36-hour, three 12-hour night shifts schedule. This rural hospital role offers stability and the opportunity to work across multiple laboratory disciplines to support patient care.

You will perform tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology; conduct phlebotomy; report results promptly; maintain quality control and proper records;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher.
• Ability to work a 36-hour schedule.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Preference for MLT/ASCP/AMT/CPT certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, immunohematology, and immunology.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection duties.
• Report test results according to established protocols and notify providers of critical or abnormal results.
• Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and processing.
• Perform and document quality control procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Maintain adequate laboratory supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Follow laboratory policies, OSHA requirements, and infection prevention and control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory staff, providers, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
