Job summary

Union Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the Terre Haute area to perform waived and moderate complexity testing, data entry, and reporting of results. You will handle specimens and operate LIS to ensure timely, accurate patient information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• High school graduate or equivalent with completion of an official military medical laboratory training program (minimum 50 weeks) and appropriate military laboratory specialty.
• Must meet CLIA 1988 requirements for personnel performing moderately complex testing.
• ASCP, AMT, or NCA certification or certification eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing.
• Specimen collection, processing, and preparation for in-house and reference laboratory testing.
• Use of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) for documentation, reporting, and result transmission.
• Perform and document Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities per laboratory policies.
• Prepare, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
