Job summary

The role performs comprehensive lab testing, ensures accurate and timely results, and supports quality assurance with ongoing education and mentorship within a clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include instrumentation maintenance, phlebotomy, and result review to detect abnormal values, with potential to float to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biological, Physical, Chemical or Clinical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
• MLS certification (ASCP/AMT) or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• Meets CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.
• High School Graduate

Responsibilities

• Analyzes patient, control and proficiency testing specimens and records results timely.
• Calibrates, maintains, operates and troubleshoots instrumentation; documents issues.
• Performs phlebotomy and sample collection as applicable.
• Reviews results and correlates with patient condition; recognizes abnormal/critical values.
• Float to other locations as needed.
• Ensures compliance with FDA, cGMP, AABB standards and safety procedures.
