Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care in Bullhead City, AZ seeks a laboratory professional to ensure accurate testing, regulatory compliance with CLIA, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA, and to assist with specimen collection and processing.

Responsibilities include startup, calibration, QA, training and leading in the absence of supervision, while ensuring specimen integrity and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or biological/chemical sciences, or equivalent meeting CLIA criteria.
• MLS certification preferred; phlebotomy competency may be required where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and terminology; proficient with computer systems.

Responsabilités

• Perform accurate, timely laboratory testing including startup, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and verify patient and quality control results for validity and accuracy.
• Participate in quality assurance, process improvement, inventory management, and projects.
• Support training, orientation and competency assessments for staff; act as resource and leader when needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and provide educational support.
• Handle specimen collection and processing and maintain specimen integrity.
