Job summary

AdventHealth LUTZ is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the night shift. You will perform pre-analytical and post-analytical duties, process and report laboratory tests, and participate in quality and safety programs to ensure high-standard patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of clinical lab experience, with strong English communication and a willingness to train others. Benefits include comprehensive medical and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience [Preferred]
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English; good oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment checks, inventory, specimen collection, and cleaning.
• Conducts post-analytical activities such as reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and procedures according to SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to regulations.
• May act as preceptor to train new employees.
• Follows safety policies and uses PPE.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Evaluates new laboratory techniques and procedures.
