Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors with certification eligibility (ASCP/NCA/AMT).
• HEW approved school of Medical Technology or equivalent military lab training with 10+ years hospital lab experience if un-certified.
• 1+ year clinical laboratory experience required without a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, serology, coagulation and phlebotomy tests with accuracy and proper documentation.
• Maintains specimen integrity and follows test procedures to ensure reliable results.
• Operates, maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments; performs quality control and corrective actions as needed.
• Provides accurate hand-off communication between shifts and supports training of new staff.

Education

Associate or Bachelor degree with certification eligibility (ASCP/NCA/AMT)

HEW approved Medical Technology program or military lab training with hospital experience

1+ year hospital lab experience if no bachelor's
