Job summary

The RN Clinical Nurse at Wellstar Health System, Inc. plays a proactive role on an interdisciplinary care team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care.

Working night shifts in Georgia, you will follow evidence-based practices and the Wellstar practice model to support patient safety and outcomes. You will perform the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and other care team members, and participate in ongoing professional development, governance, and performance improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years RN experience with direct patient care.
• GA RN license and BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) with evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient-centered care reflecting diverse populations and cultures.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Practices using current clinical standards.
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care across the care team.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration while promoting fiscal responsibility.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance at multiple levels.
• Completes required competency assessments and ongoing education.
• Precepts and mentors other professionals to grow the workforce.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and research within nursing.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Plans across the care continuum and optimizes resource use.
• Participates in protocol development and cross-team collaboration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
