Job summary

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a local contract at the Miami VA Medical Center in Miami, FL. The RN will provide direct inpatient care, assess needs, and collaborate with the health care team.

Requirements include active US RN license, AHA BLS, ACEN/CCNE accreditation for degrees, and Med-Surg experience. Shift is Nights 7:30 PM–8:00 AM; assignment Oct 26, 2026 to May 11, 2027; pay $50–$55/hour.

Qualifications

• Current, full, and unrestricted RN license to practice in any U.S. state/territory/DC.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and prescribed nursing treatments.
• Provide IV therapy and acute-care nursing interventions.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Coordinate patient care and transitions.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
