Qualifications

• Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR training.
• Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units.
• The RN in Ohio must complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during licensure period; at least 1 hour must relate to Ohio nurse practice code.

Responsibilities

• Assess and formulate a nursing diagnosis and plan.
• Plan, implement and evaluate the care plan.
• Coordinate the patient’s plan of care with the health care team and family.
• Communicate openly with patients, families and staff to support shared decision-making.
