Job summary

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to join the medical/surgical unit. You will support licensed nurses by providing direct patient care during nights, 6:30pm–7:00am, and by assisting with activities of daily living and monitoring patient status.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaborative patient-focused care within a leading healthcare system in Missouri. Holidays and every 3rd weekend are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: No Experience.
• Licenses & Certifications: Certified Nurse Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision, promoting patient- and family-centered care.
• Administers or assists patients with ADLs, performs vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point-of-care testing.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists nurse with patient and family education; documents care activities with correct terminology; may serve as 1:1 safety sitter.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
