Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital seeks a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) for the Med/Surg 6th Floor. You will support RN-guided patient care in a fast-paced, community-based teaching hospital environment in Warrensville Heights, with a focus on safety and compassionate service.

The role emphasizes assisting with ADLs, monitoring, and basic care tasks while you gain hands-on experience and opportunities to advance with an experienced nursing team in a world-class health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross; if not held, must obtain during hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS certification required upon hire.
• Military experience (HM, Combat Medic, or 4N0X1) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, ADLs, transfers, and monitoring devices.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
