Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Florida's Treasure Coast seeks a Patient Care Nurse Assistant to join the 5S Orthopaedics Unit, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with access to state-of-the-art technology in a collaborative hospital setting.

The PCNA will support nursing staff, assist with activities of daily living, perform EKG and phlebotomy duties, transport patients, document care, and participate in ongoing education.

Qualificações

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nursing students may qualify with BLS upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing caregivers, promote patient comfort and carry out nursing orders.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher from the department/unit.
• Conduct EKG and phlebotomy duties.
• Attend to patient and family needs and problems.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing and hygiene.
• Report pertinent information regarding patient condition to appropriate nursing staff.
• Assist patients with tray setup and feeding.
• Restock supplies daily and order supplies from Central Supply.
• Document care provided in the medical record.
• Collect and transport specimens.
• Provide RNs/LPNs with accurate intake/output data, vital signs, and communicate changes.
