MercyOne is seeking a Specialty Nurse – Med Surg for Advanced RN in Davenport, IA. The role supports nursing units via float pool, delivering independent patient care with competency validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• ANCC Medical-Surgical or related certification preferred.
• RN license in IA or IL required.
• More than 2 years nursing experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patients’ care and condition.
• Identifies and recognizes changes in parameters; intervenes as needed.
• Evaluates and documents patients’ response to care and revises plans.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge readiness.
• Identifies and completes patient/family educational needs.
• Provides education aligned with diagnosis and treatment plan.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

ACLS Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS)

ANCC Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing or related field

RN license in IA and/or IL
