Job summary

Abbott Park, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Group Leader for the GES Global Engineering Services division. This on-site role combines 70% hands-on mechanical work with 30% leadership of the night-shift team focused on preventive maintenance and repairs across manufacturing, utilities, and facilities.

You will coordinate work, maintain accurate records, and support the COR team in monitoring conditions and safety. Strong technical leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as core duties.
• Lead and coordinate the night shift maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor workload performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and general mechanical repairs supporting manufacturing, HVAC, utilities, and offices.
• Repair motors; perform shaft alignments and related tasks within scope.
• Review work requests, determine exact requirements, and plan repair approach.
• Identify parts, materials, and tools needed for repairs.
• Complete mechanical work safely and efficiently.
