Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is hiring for an entry-level maintenance support role in the United States. You will assist seasoned mechanics, perform preventive maintenance on crushers and conveyors, and learn safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures while supporting daily quarry operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist experienced mechanics with inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing quarry equipment and mobile machinery.

Conditions of Employment

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands of the Job

• Frequently stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and work on uneven terrain.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting throughout the workday.
• Work at varying heights and in confined spaces while following safety procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
• Maintain visual and auditory awareness to safely work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
