Blackwell Miami Inc. in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Mechanic with a valid CDL (A or B) to diagnose accurately and get heavy-duty units back on the road. You will conduct road tests, perform heavy-duty diagnostics, and handle maintenance with your own tools.

The role emphasizes diagnosing rather than guessing, working with a fleet of delivery vans and trucks, and requires you to own hand tools and bring a reliable work ethic. Schedule includes six days per week, full-time, in-person at our shop.

Mechanic — CDL Required

We need a mechanic who can diagnose and who holds a valid CDL. Find the problem — actually find it, not guess — and be able to get a heavy-duty unit on the road yourself when needed.

WE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DEALING WITH

Fighting for a lift. Days waiting on parts. Diagnostic time you never get paid for. Dead scan tool subscriptions. Stuck with oil changes while someone else gets the real work.

Here’s how we run instead:

• Paid for diagnostic time - finding it is the job
• Your own lift
• Parts come - backorders, you hear it from us first
• We buy the tools - scan tools, A/C machine, specialty stuff. You bring hand tools.
• Paid weekly
• No body work - mechanical only

THE WORK

Commercial fleet - delivery vans, box trucks, light and heavy duty. Because you hold a CDL, you're also the one road testing heavier units and moving trucks around the yard as needed—not just diagnosing them.

• Diagnostics - driveability, electrical, no-starts, intermittents
• A/C - full system: diagnosis, leaks, compressors, evac and recharge
• Brakes, suspension, steering, cooling
• PM service and DOT inspections
• Road test and reposition heavy-duty units yourself, no waiting on someone else
• Write down what you found. No essays.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You diagnose, you don't throw parts at it
• Valid CDL - A or B
• Reliable, and you show up
• Own hand tools, valid driver's license
• ASE or fifteen years, either works

English or Spanish. Both work here.

SCHEDULE

6 Days a week. Full-time, in person at our Fort Lauderdale shop.
