Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Supervisor for the Hawthorne Distribution Center to lead materials management on the 2nd shift. You will oversee daily receipt, distribution, and issuance of materials for rocket programs, mentoring reports and driving continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, logistics expertise, and knowledge of aviation/space industry practices. Onsite, night shift 3:00pm–3:00am, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in materials management or 6+ years in related field.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• Lean/6-Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in aerospace/manufacturing preferred.
• Hazmat certification preferred.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR / IATA transport guidelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Approve timecards, scheduling, periodic reviews, and mentoring of direct reports.
• Implement logistics and inventory management best practices per procedures.
• Support and maintain metrics for Inventory teams.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and promote safety policies.
• Coordinate workload distribution with cross-functional teams to meet timelines.
• Interface with Shipping, Receiving, QC, Transportation, Planning, Purchasing to resolve material issues.
• Lead area audits and ensure operational compliance.
• Maintain organized work area through continuous improvement.
• Foster a change-ready environment and implement ideas when appropriate.
• Perform related duties to ensure efficient operations.
