Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Supervisor of Materials Management (STARLINK) on the night shift in Bastrop, TX. You will lead an hourly team handling from incoming inspection to handoff to production, ensuring quality, safety, and efficient inventory control.

The role focuses on AS9100 compliance, customer flow-down requirements, and cost-saving initiatives, while maintaining a safe, productive work environment. Prior APICS and Lean/6-Sigma credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; OR 4+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred
• Lean/6-Sigma experience (Green/Black Belt) preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage an hourly workforce by assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and addressing issues with corrective actions or performance improvement plans
• Lead by example and motivate the organization to achieve high results
• Monitor and improve operations to maintain a safe work environment and zero OSHA recordables
• Ensure procedures meet quality and AS9100/customer flow-down requirements
• Oversee inbound acceptance, storage, and issuance of parts and hardware
• Drive continuous improvement across materials management operations
• Affect cost reductions and optimization opportunities
• Manage cycle counting and inventory control
• Supervise shipping/receiving and material replenishment
• Coordinate service routes and material delivery to internal customers
• Monitor ITAR requirements and export controls
