Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Saxonburg, PA is seeking a motivated night-shift team member. You will follow detailed work instructions, operate grinders and polishers, and record production data to meet requirements, with emphasis on safety.

A high school diploma is required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; overtime and rotating shifts may be necessary. Training is provided for success in a fast-paced, noisy, and hazardous environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A strong math background is preferred.
• At least one year experience in a related field (machine shop, glass industry).

Responsibilities

• Follows detailed work instructions and production orders to effectively prepare materials and accurately record data.
• Operates Blanchard rotary surface grinder, spindle polisher, planetary polisher, and wire saw to meet production requirements.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, actively participating in safety programs.
• Performs routine machine maintenance and troubleshoots issues as needed.
• Communicates effectively with team members and during shift transitions.
• Ensures proper storage and handling of all chemicals.
