Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is hiring a Material Handler to lead the movement of inventory, unload/load trailers, and perform digital inventory tracking in a fast-paced warehouse setting in Ohio. The role requires attention to detail, safety adherence, and teamwork.

Starting pay is $22.47 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential; overtime may be required to meet customer demand. 3+ years in material handling or related logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills & Aptitude: Strong mathematical and technical aptitude with ERP data entry proficiency.
• Resilience & Adaptability: Organised, able to prioritize and adjust to changing warehouse priorities.
• Collaboration: Team-oriented with clear communication.
• Detail Focus: Follow safety rules, SOPs and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Flexibility: Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Preferred Experience: 3+ years in material handling or warehouse logistics; Lean / 5S exposure.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Safely transport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods between receiving, storage and production areas.
• Trailer & Freight Handling: Load/unload trucks and verify shipments against paperwork.
• Inventory Accuracy: Perform digital transactions, cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Continuous Improvement & Safety: Maintain 5S standards and promote safe practices.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate shift updates and support cross-functional teams.
