Job summary

Avery Dennison in Mentor, OH is seeking a Material Handler on B Shift (1:00pm–9:00pm, Mon–Fri). You will be the operational backbone of our warehouse, maintaining inventory accuracy, moving raw and finished materials, and keeping production lines running smoothly.

Key duties include material movement, cycle counts in MFGPro, stocking, and supporting 5S housekeeping and recycling. All qualified applicants will be considered; starting pay is $22.47/hr plus a $2/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 3+ years manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and inventory software (MFGPro preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and transfer raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Inventory Control: Complete transactions in MFGPro, conduct cycle counts, resolve discrepancies.
• Operational Support: Deliver supplies to production, manage rack/drum inventories, support 5S and recycling initiatives.
• Safety & Quality: Adhere to safety protocols and coordinate with shift teams to optimize workflow.

• Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and transfer raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across shipping, receiving, and production areas using material handling equipment.

• Inventory Control: Complete transactions in our Inventory Management System (MFGPro), conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Operational Support: Deliver supplies to production, manage rack/drum inventories, and support 5S housekeeping and recycling initiatives.

• Safety & Quality: Adhere to safety protocols, proactively report hazards, and coordinate with shift teams to optimize workflow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/warehouse experience.

• Experience operating material handling equipment and utilizing inventory software (MFGPro preferred).

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to a safety-first mindset.

• Ability to work overtime and adapt quickly to shifting daily
