Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Houston, TX is seeking a Material Handler to support manufacturing operations on the night shift. The role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, moving materials to production, and ensuring safe, efficient workflow.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in manufacturing, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; forklift/overhead crane certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to become certified to operate forklift, overhead crane, yard mule and side loaders.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine and pneumatic equipment preferred, not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually.
• Good attitude and team orientation.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer responsive and efficient manufacturing support activities.
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage; assist co-workers and customers.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management including daily ERP updates.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain a steady flow of materials to production workstations.
• Assist in movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
• Comply with safety requirements and wear PPE.
